How to Make a Hanging Sleeve for Your Quilt

Wednesday July 23, 2008
Sewing a sleeve on the back of your quilt makes it easy to hang the quilt for display at home or in a quilt show. The quilt sleeve can be permanent or temporary and it can be sewn on after or at the same time you apply binding. Quilters use different techniques to sew sleeves to their quilts, but try this easy method if you're just starting out, and then make variations to suit your needs once you're familiar with the basics.

New Photos in the Doll Quilt Gallery

Sunday July 20, 2008
quiltingA group of our Quilting Forum members just finished round 3 of a doll quilt swap, and they've submitted photos to share their little beauties with all of us. You'll find all sorts of little quilts in the gallery, from very traditional projects to whimsical pieces like the Flip-Flop quilt in this photo. Not all of the quilts are from swaps -- some were made for friends and family and other online quilt exchanges. They're all perfect inspiration for your next small quilt.
